Perry is a village at the end of the Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway Silver Lake Branch, formerly the Silver Lake Railroad.

The 1913 map below shows the path of the tracks into Perry. The gray area on the lake labeled with the number nine is the Silver Lake Ice Company. The depot and yard area is just north of the mill pond in the dark gray area.

The 1894 map below shows the depot area in greater detail. This area is bounded by Federal Street on the west, Lake Street on the north, and Centre Street on the east.
