Erie Railroad Engine 299
C4 Class 0-8-0
This July 1939 photograph shows one of only two Class C-4 locomotives
on the Erie. Number 299 was built in November,
1916 by Alco-Brooks as Buffalo Creek number 24 and was acquired by the Erie
in 1939. It saw service until its scrapping in 1950.
