Netflix dropped some surprising news during last night’s Super Bowl (February 4th), revealing that a brand new movie entitled The Cloverfield Paradox would be available to stream straight after the game.
The film is a direct prequel to the 2008 monster movie Cloverfield and explains how the creature that terrorised New York came to earth.
Featuring an all-star cast including Elizabeth Debicki, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, David Oyelowo and Chris O’Dowd, plus direction from Julius Onah, the announcement sent fans into a frenzy with memes and reactions pouring in as sci-fi fans dived on the latest installment in the franchise.
