Cardi B claps back at conservative commentator Candace Owens for calling her…

Cardi B has hit back at Conservative commentator Candace Owens for calling her “dumb and illiterate”, after she did an interview with Presidential candidate, Joe Biden.

The US election is hotting up, and as politicians plea their cases for becoming the next leaders of the country, an unlikely pair, Cardi B and Conservative commentator Candace Owens, have officially gone to war.

The ‘WAP’ rapper recently sat down for an interview with Presidential candidate, Joe Biden. In the video call, they discussed racism in America, healthcare, and the handling of the COVID-19 crisis.

And despite the in-depth conversation being over two weeks ago, Candace, who was initially critical of Donald Trump, has claimed Biden thinks “black people are stupid” because he chose to sit down with an “illiterate rapper”.

Candace sat down on The Ben Shapiro Show, where she said that the relevance of Cardi’s interview “would be akin to Donald Trump saying, ‘I’m going to give no interviews’ but he decided to give an interview to Justin Bieber”.

Naturally, Cardi clapped back. Taking to Instagram, the 27-year-old argued her case that Biden chose her for the interview because of her influence – adding just last week her song with Megan Thee Stallion, ‘WAP’, reached the number one spot in the charts worldwide.

“It’s not a secret I use my platform to encourage people to vote,” she told followers. “I love politics. Today, Candace Owens said some real nasty things about me.”

“I have millions of followers. I pay millions in taxes. I have the Number One song in this country, I have the Number One song in the United Kingdom, I have the Number One song in Australia, I have the Number One song in New Zealand.

“Just like I can make millions of people pop their p*ssy, I can make millions of people go vote.”

Cardi also added that she’d had to hire a private investigator after her address was leaked and Trump supporters were encouraged to “set fire to [her] home”.

The situation quickly became a back-and-forth argument between the pair, after 31-year-old Candace then recorded a video of her own.

“You continually keep saying you have a Number One song – it means shit,” she blasted.

“Nobody cares about a song about your ‘Wet Ass Pussy’. That has nothing to do with Black America, and whether you’re helping or hurting. Right now, you’re hurting Black America.”

She also added that statistically, Cardi’s husband, Offset, is more likely to kill her than a police officer.

Cardi then moved the argument over to Twitter, where she has 14 million followers.

Fans quickly backed her up as she posted a series of tweets that claim Candace has been ‘obsessed’ with her since 2018 and has posted hurtful comments about her a number of times.

She also responded to comments saying that she’d “rather her tax money go to free education than police funding” and spoke out about an incident of Trump supporters harassing her sister.

Cardi, who has achieved worldwide fame following collabs with the likes of Maroon 5, Bad Bunny and DJ Khaled, has always been very politically open.

Just recently, she endorsed Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and has notably got into internet spats with other conservatives.
