This is incredible…
There is no question that 2018 has already been an incredible year for memes. From buff Kim Kardashian to big dick energy, the internet is out here thriving. Not to mention, the past few weeks alone have spawned some of the funniest viral moments of all time. It’s somehow hard to imagine life before the solidarity meme or when Life with Mak took over the worldwide web thanks to her ASMR antics.

Thankfully, online culture never stops and there is already a new meme to obsess over. For those who were raised on a strict diet of Sugar Puffs, Nutella and Pixar films, this one’s for you. All the way back in 2001, we were blessed with one of the greatest films of all time – Monsters, Inc. 17 years on, the film is so famous that it’s the subject of a new meme that’s so funny, we’re crying.
The meme is simple. Any avid Monsters, Inc. fans will know that the original film came with some hilarious outtakes. One of the outtakes saw lead character Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) sing ‘She’s Out of My Hair’ (‘She’s Out of My Life’ monster style) in a bar. The performance is so dramatic that it’s now ascended to meme status.
The format is easy to follow. People take a still from the skit and then use it to reference past hit songs that they used to sing as kids, no matter how explicit or NSFW they were (think ‘S&M’ by Rihanna or ‘Love Game’ by ‘Lady Gaga’). Confused? We’ve gathered the best of them for you all in one place.
Some people are applying it to Tyga lyrics.
Others are getting dramatic with old school Rihanna.
Rihanna: Every time I walk out the door, I see him die a little more inside,
I don’t wanna hurt him anymore,
I don’t wanna take away his life,
I don’t wanna be

They don’t make songs like this anymore.
Actually the more dramatic, the better.
Bruno wasn’t playing.
Kanye really went there on ‘Heartless’.
Kanye: in the night, I hear em talk the coldest story ever told, somewhere far along this road, he lost his soul,

Those lyrics were brutal.
It works perfectly for Lil Wayne.
We were blushing then and we’re still blushing now.
Fergie had us all lowkey spitting bars.

It even suits old school Usher and Alicia Keys duets.
That was our jam.
And let’s not forget first album era Maroon 5.
I’ve had you so many times but somehow I want moreeee…

That was a classic.
Or the glory days of Outkast.
What a song.
And last but not least it works for iconic jingles.
